			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="bodytext">ATLANTA Office Products has been awarded the Blue Angel certification for three new products, the world’s oldest and most established eco-label for companies who consistently demonstrate their commitment to environmental issues. Launched in 1978, Blue Angel sets the standard for eco-friendly products and services, selected by an independent jury against defined criteria.&nbsp; </p>
<p class="bodytext">The black Trayformer, an entirely flat letter tray that transforms easily into a strong letter tray, has been launched recently with enormous environmental and economical advantages. Not only the environmental benefits over the whole product life cycle, by reducing the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and the Carbon Footprint, but also Blue Angel accreditation for using 100% recycled materials makes Trayformer to an outstanding product.</p>

<p class="bodytext">The judging happened on the first day of the event by a panel of leading buyers. The Stationery and Office Products Shows (SOPX) are the yearly buying and networking opportunity for UK dealers as well as retailers and took place on 13th to 14th of April, 2010. Trayformer won in one out of eight categories, the Desk Accessories Award and in addition the New Product of the Year Award.<br />The unique selling proposition of Trayformer are the enormous environmental as well as its economical advantages. From the environmental perspective, its flat design enables efficient product transportation from&nbsp;&nbsp; factory to the end user’s desk, reducing by at least 65% CO2 emissions of delivery vehicles. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="bodytext">An innovative European manufacturer of office supplies has been awarded an FSC Chain of Custody certificate from the internationally recognised eco-organisation, further demonstrating the company’s commitment to environmental protection.</p>
<p class="bodytext">This green badge of approval covers the well known leading business forms and message books of Atlanta made at the company’s headquarters in Hoogezand, The Netherlands. These include the Things to do Today product and the recently introduced Meeting Notes.</p>
<p class="bodytext">All of these items have been inspected and meet strict environmental criteria laid down by the FSC, plus can carry the FSC logo showing they are made to high environmental standards with minimal impact to the environment. This means that Atlanta uses internationally recognised certifications rather than creating its own green benchmarks and logos.</p>
<p class="bodytext">The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="bodytext">Moved by the heartbreaking scenes beamed across our TV screens in recent days, the leading supplier has launched an urgent appeal to raise €25,000 for the Lakay orphanage where so many children lost their lives.<br />The money will be raised by Atlanta donating more than a third of turnover generated by sales of its metal waste separation bins.<br />Together with suppliers Becker Stahl Service and Protech Oxyplast, the business will donate much-needed cash for the Foundation Wereldkinderen that is helping children’s homes like the Lakay orphanage after the tragedy (<a href="http://www.wereldkinderen.nl/" >www.wereldkinderen.nl</a>).<br />Reiner Eckhardt of Atlanta Office Products said: “By buying this quality product, the consumer can really help and support children who have been injured and affected so deeply by what has happened in Haiti.<br />“The home is completely in ruins. More than 250 children and some carers died during the earthquake and so we felt compelled to contribute to the aid effort. We really wanted to do something to try and help in this appalling situation and hope that our customers will do all they can to support this initiative.”<br />The metal rubbish bins fit perfectly around the plastic bags provided by the councils of Hoogeveen, Coevorden, Hardenberg and Emmen in The Netherlands to help separate household waste and are made in Atlanta’s factory in Coevorden.<br />Consumers can buy the 60 litre capacity bins for just €20 in a choice of black and light grey. The dimensions are 66 cm (height) x 37 cm (diameter). This initiative is carried out locally mainly in Northern Holland.</p>
